Description
Assignment: Create an illustration based on a colour. I chose blue, and its relation to Facebook, and the twenty-first century conundrum of simultaneous interconnectedness and alienation. Pen & Ink / Photoshop. January 2011.

Very good comment on our social interaction in this century. We're more interconnected than ever, but yet we've never been as lonely as we are now.
You could do a 'follow up' as well with how people have more contacts now with the Internet and cell phones, and what-not, but no-one rarely talks anymore. 600+ friends on Facebook, everyone updates THEIR statuses, but no-one reads, let alone comments the others. If someone puts up a new photo people are so 'busy' they don't take the time to comment, they just 'like' it. Civilization and the human kind is going straight to heck and each generation is getting worse than the one before.
Nevertheless -LIKE!/Fav!
(Just clean it up a bit -the shade of blue on 'your' shirt is not consistent and there are a few (guide) lines that needs to be removed, then I'd buy this as a print.
